Escalloped Apples

I would like to find a recipe for Escalloped Apples. Does anyone have one, or know where I may find one? I have a good looking recipe from Pampered Chef for an Escalloped Apple Pie, and need to make the Escalloped Apples, for I can't find them anywhere but the Schwann Co. and they are too expensive for me.

Hi there! Apparently many recipes suggest you buy Stouffer's frozen "Harvest Apples", but I can't discern whether they are still made. In searching for a recipe for you, I bumped into this post (2 recipes) at Epicurious.com:

Hope that helps! If not, let me know and I'll look further.

Place 4 muffin halves, cut-side down, into egg mixture and let stand 1 minute. Turn to coat remaining side. Melt a portion of the butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Working in batches, place muffin halves in skillet, cut-side down. Cook 8 minutes, turning once, or until browned. Repeat with remaining muffin halves and butter. Serve with apples.
