Making a Matching Bow for Your Wrapped Package

August 22, 2005

This is an easy way to always have a bow that matches your wrapping paper. Take a leftover rectangle of paper and cut it into 1/4 inch strips, leaving about 1 inch of uncut paper at the top. Strips of wrapping paper

Gather the uncut portion and wrap scotch tape around it. Strips attached to be made into a bow

Now, curl the wrapping paper as you would curling ribbon. You will have any size bow you like and it will always match your wrapping paper. The downside is you won't have small pieces of wrapping paper you hate to discard and are too small to use!

Photo of bow would be nice to see also.

Thanks so much for sending the photos! It really makes your steps clear. I sometimes will curl wrapping paper like this but I always just tape two strips onto the package in an "X" and then curl the ends.

Your version looks much nicer.

This can be any kind of paper, even paper bags for the "rustic" look.
