I made my usual unimpressive corned beef hash (leftover corned beef, diced and pan sauteed onions and cubed potatoes). On a whim, I added a couple of splashes of pickle juice at the very end. Wow! What an improvement! Post Feedback: http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf28808592.tip.html

Rate It: Butter Corn on the Cob as a Batch My family loves corn on the cob. They all complain about buttering their corn, even with the new squirt butter, which I did not like to buy since it rather pricey! I buy the aluminum throw away pans when they are on sale and use one to butter the corn. Melt butter in the throw away aluminum pan plus add any seasoning you like, salt, pepper, etc. Place ears of steamed corn in the melted butter and use tongs to turn each ear of corn until buttered, serve in the aluminum pan. It is also a great way to carry the cooked corn if, you are taking to another location. Once you are finished with serving, you can simply wash the aluminum pan and use the next time. Directions In a medium sized mixing bowl whisk together all of the dry ingredients. Next stir in all three cups of cheese. (if you like a sharper cheese flavor you can substitute cheddar) In a separate bowl, whisk egg, milk, and butter together. When mixed thoroughly, pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and stir with a spoon to combine. Bake in greased muffin tins in a 375 degree F oven for 20-25 minutes. Makes 12 delicious muffins. Source: From the Pioneer Womans website. mmmmmm..... not a bikini recipe but winter's on it's way so go ahead and try it! :-) By Faith from Lynden, WA Post Feedback: http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf70445752.tip.html

Directions Brown meat in Dutch Oven, add cut up celery and onions and water to cover by about 1 inch. Bring to boil and lower heat to simmer. Simmer about 1 hour, covered until onions and celery are tender. add soy sauce (about 1/4 cup or more to taste). Turn heat up and bring to boil. Add cornstarch while stirring constantly until thickens. Taste again - add more soy sauce if needed. Serve over chow mein noodles with rice. This is my own recipe and very good. I usually use 2 or 3 lean pork chops cut up into quite small pieces. You can use left over beef or chicken. I have made this for years. My family prefers it to restaurant or take out Chow Mein.
