Watermelon Stool

Here is a stool I refurbished to make it look like a watermelon.

Materials:

  • A stool
  • Sandpaper
  • Acrylic paints
  • Paint brushes
  • Sealer

Directions

Sand the top so it will take the paint. If it is an unfinished stool, you may want to paint the legs. Apply acrylic paint to make it look like a watermelon. I painted a green circle on the outside, then a white circle and then the red circle in the middle. Add the black dots for seeds. Let each color dry thoroughly before going on to the next. Seal and let the sealer dry. You may want to apply two coats.

You can paint a stool like this with any pattern. Just make sure you seal it well.
