A Birthday Calendar as a Wedding Gift
Buy a calendar when an upcoming family wedding is announced and note birthdays and special family dates on it. It's a very welcoming gesture to the new family member, including them in on the "good stuff". Be sure to write down addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses should the new family want to send greetings.

A very thoughtful way to include the new family member, and not difficult to do. There are even printable calendar programs where you won't have to write in the birthday/anniversary/holiday info yourself. You might check on the internet for "calendar templates," for example. MS Office Publisher also has calendar templates, if you're fairly computer-savvy.
