I use to love watching the show "Mama's Family". In one of the episodes she served Homemade Cherry Pudding. Has anyone ever heard of this and if so, do you have the recipe?

Here's a recipe for cherry pudding:

Cherry Pudding

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup milk
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2 cups sour cherries (pitted)

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. In a large bowl, cream shortening, sugar, milk and eggs. Sift flour and baking powder together in separate bowl. Beat in dry ingredients to wet ingredients, a little at a time, until smooth. Stir in cherries.

3. Pour mixture into an ungreased 13- x 9- x 2-inch pan and bake for 40 minutes. When cool, add a spoon of sugar and some milk over the pudding and enjoy.
