Never-Fail Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2/3 cup milk

Directions

Mix dry ingredients. then cut in shortening; add egg and milk. Mix just until it hangs together. Drop onto a baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
