Baby Diaper Cake for Shower
This is a photo of a Diaper Cake my niece recieved at her baby shower. It was made from pampers and stacked two layers high. Tiny ribbon weaved through it held it together and small "necessities" were tucked around the layers. On the top was a stuffed Duck and baby blocks. Tied around each layer was a beautiful "Suzi's Zoo ribbon tied into bows. It was so pretty we used it as a centerpiece for her gift table.

Mini-book on Financial Wisdom
By Rela Ann Ever wonder what to do with those sample credit cards sent your way to entice your business? Why not use it for teaching kids (and even those young-at-hearts) about money? We can think 2 simple ways right now that you can use these plastics that would otherwise mess up the "mixed paper" recycling mound. One would be a mini-book on financial wisdom - what better way to introduce your teenager (or your spouse!) on how money should be handled? Another use of this mini-book is for Key chain with Memory verse reviewer. Make use of waiting time - traffic, bank queue or just plain waiting.

A Man Shopping Joke
A man walks into a pharmacy and wanders up and down the aisles. The sales girl notices him and asks him if she can help him.
He answers that he is looking for a box of tampons for his wife. She directs him down the correct aisle. A few minutes later, he deposits a huge bag of cotton balls and a ball of string on the counter.
She says, confused, "Sir, I thought you were looking for some tampons for your wife?
He answers, "You see, it's like this, yesterday, I sent my wife to the store to get me a carton of cigarettes, and she came back with a tin of tobacco and some rolling papers; cause it's sooo-ooo--oo-ooo much cheaper. So, I figure if I have to roll my own, so does she."

Cleaning Cast Iron Pots and Pans
We had several old iron cooking pots and pans, that had been left in storage for many years. They were rusty, and really corroded.
I put them in a plastic garbage bag, soaked a towel with ammonia, and left it tied in bag for several days (maybe 4 days.) As I took each one out to wash and clean, I left the others in the bag. They clean well with a little elbow "grease". They looked almost new.
I had a dutch oven, a huge skillet, a large pancake griddle, and several pans with handles. I used steel wool on some and scraped residue off with a knife, then washed and dried them. I used crisco and rubbed each one with a paper towel. I set them in the oven for several days when not in use. They looked like new and would have been discarded as useless.

Brightening Your Day By Helping Someone Else
In my many years of living I have found that the best pick-me-up for depression is to get your mind off your own problems and do something to cheer someone else up. If nothing else, send a card and make someone else's day a little brighter. When God lays someone on your heart, there's a reason behind it. Pray for them and act on his leading. You'll feel better and so will they. Trust me - it works!

A Couple Driving Down the Road Joke
A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position. As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Relatives of yours?"
"Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws."

Hardwood Floor Color Suggestions
We have regency bronze color cabinets in our kitchen and the floor type is vinyl. We are planning to have hardwood floor in the kitchen. Please let me know what color (hardwood) floor do I need to choose. I am interested in contrasting colors. Would a butterscotch hardwood color be fine? Also, please let me know if the matching hardwood colors looks great in this case (with regency bronze cabinets).

Scaredy Dog?
My name is Amanda, I have 2 sweet little terripoo's, one boy, one girl. We have had them for about 4-5 months now and when we first got them, they would not come near us. After a few days they started to become curious and after about a week or two they settled down a bit.
They still are absolutely terrified of everything. Whenever I take them for a walk, they just freak out at anything that moves or speaks. The girl, Bettie, even has little accidents because she is so scared, and the boy, Willie, gets aggressive when around other dogs. I NEED HELP! Anyone know how to chill my dogs out? Thanx for your help, A_Chick

Seizures in Dogs?
I have a Golden Retriever that is two years old and is having seizures now for just about a year. Our Vet has prescribed Phenobarbital which I give 6 pills a day. Three in the morning and three in the evening. He is also on thyroid medication. He still has seizures but not as frequent and we are still experimenting with his dose.
I have tried changing his diet to raw food. I am constantly checking the garden for mushrooms and fungus of any kind and I don't use harsh chemicals. His seizures started the summer of 2004 just after he had surgery on both eyes. Apparently the bottom lashes of his eyes rolled into the eye ball and causes irritation. In the meantime we were installing a new lawn and sprinkler system. I top soiled the entire yard with quality soil from a highly reputable source.
Mushrooms are prevalent all year. Our vet thought the mushrooms were causing the seizures. With mowing and daily picking has kept this under control. If anyone out there is going through this or has experienced this problem with their pet please reply. Any information could be helpful.
Another thing, Cosmo, our golden retriever is a male and his weight is about 115 pounds which I hear is a very large Golden yet he's not overweight for his size. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you, Arlen

House Training a 15 Month Old Dog
Our Lakeland Terrier is 15 months old and we are having a difficult time getting him to hold his bodily functions until he gets outside. He will not usually poop or pee in the house when we are with him, but if we leave him alone or if he wakes up in the morning before we do, he will do his business as he pleases.
If we wake up before he does and take him out, he will do his business outside upon command so we think he knows that is what he is SUPPOSED to do. So the difficultly is, how to we stop behavior that is not done in our presence?

Sneezing Cat
I have a 6 year old cat and I have been taking him to vets off and on for years tryng to figure out how to get him to stop sneezing. They have given him pills, squirt meds, shots, and many other things. No one knows what it is or how to fix it. They have said multiple things were wrong so we would try the meds and no change.
I am wondering if anyone else has had a cat do this, and if they have had it fixed. I wouldn't mind the sneezing but big boogers come out, it is so icky. He still plays, eats, goes potty and sleeps fine. He gets his shots, he is inside only, and he is neutered.
Thanks, Jen
