Chicken Noodle Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of noodles, your choice
  • 1 10 oz. bag frozen mixed veggies
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup or cream or chicken soup, or 1 of each
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • Cooking spray
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • buttered bread crumbs
  • Shredded cheddar cheese (optional, place on top of noodles)

Directions:

Set oven temperature to 350 degrees F. Boil the noodles for 4 minutes. Place the frozen veggies into the colander that you will drain the noodles in. Drain the noodles. Place the noodles and veggies into a 13x9 inch baking dish.

Mix the soup with the milk and pour over the noodles. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and stir. Sprinkle buttered bread crumbs on top, cover, and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

Recipe: Chicken Noodle Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 lb. chicken, cooked and boned
  • 12 oz. pkg. frozen noodles
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 small can chopped pimentos
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • parsley
  • pepper
  • paprika

Directions:

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Boil noodles according to package directions. In casserole dish, mix soup, pimentos and milk. Stir in chicken and noodles. Top with parsley, pepper and paprika. Bake 30 minutes until steaming hot. Serves 4. Freezes well.

Frozen noodles? Never heard of such a thing. Maybe this is a regional item? (12/04/2009)

Recipe: Chicken Noodle Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 8 oz. thin egg noodles
  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 2 cans chicken, drained (6oz. each)
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

Combine soup, milk, cheese, salt and pepper in glass bowl. Microwave on high until cheese is melted, stirring occasionally. Cook noodles according to package directions, rinse and drain well. Add chicken and noodles to soup mixture; mix gently. Pour into buttered 8x8 inch baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees F for 45 minutes.
