Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 packages dry yeast
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 box golden vanilla cake mix
- 5 cups flour
Directions
Mix water, yeast, salt and sugar. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir in cake mix and beat. Stir in flour - will be sticky. Set in warm place. Let rise until double in bulk. Punch down. Use extra flour to handle enough. Roll out half of dough. Spread with softened margarine and brown sugar. Roll up. Use a piece of thread to cut. Slide thread under dough every 1 1/2 to 2 inches. Cross thread over and pull. Place on baking sheet. Let rise again until double. Bake 20-30 minutes at 350 degrees F. Makes 24 rolls.
