Here's a quick, nourishing soup idea. Into a soup pot put one can of chili with beans, one can of chicken, beef or vegetable broth and whatever vegetables you like, either fresh, canned or frozen. It's healthy and fast.

To help your dog this summer, put 10 drops of tea tree oil into a bottle of baby shampoo before bathing, then mix. Bathe your dog using some of the soap, fleas and ticks hate the smell. It helped our dog who was allergic and had hot spots. We did some searching online about Tea Tree Oil and it's a good alternative to dandruff shampoo for humans as well. Everyone should be well informed on any ideas they try.
I got some tea tree oil at the health food store, it was expensive, but worked great. I also got some at Wally World (Wal-Mart) at a more reasonable price but it wasn't as strong.

Dip a washcloth in liquid fabric softener, then hang it on a towel rack until dry. When you dry clothes, pop this washcloth in with the load. It can be reused a couple dozen times, then repeat the procedure. A bottle of liquid softener will last almost forever!

Featured Feedback: Cleaning Blinds
When the blinds get really dirty I take them outside lay them out flat on the grass, wet with the garden hose then wash with a soapy wet washrag, flipping to get both sides. hold up the blind like it's on a window and rinse off. shake off water excess and take back inside to hang up. can even hang over porch railing if it doesn't get dry quick enough.

Help! My new berber carpet has a small run. It's only about two inches long, but I don't want it get any longer. Is there anyway it can be fixed? I was thinking of just squooshing it into place with glue, but I'm not sure this is the wisest way to go. I'd appreciate any helpful suggestions that you have. I have two 10 week old kittens who think it's a great toy, so I'll need advice that won't be harmful to them. Thanks a lot! Debi

Daylily, A Very Easy, Beautiful and Useful Plant
By Monica Resinger
Daylilies are one of my favorite perennial plants. They are pretty, hardy and very easy to take care of. They have arching, sword shaped leaves and lily shaped flowers that come in all shades of yellow, orange, red and more. They grow to a height of about 18 inches usually and are best placed in the middle of the flower bed. Daylilies are called this because their large lily-like blooms only last one day, however, the next day there will be a new bloom right next to the old one on the same stem.

Hey, Nice Grass: Establishing a Great Lawn
By Carrie P. Williams
Many people, perhaps including you, would love to renovate their landscape, but they just can't justify putting the time, effort, and money into it right now. After all, it's only contribution to your property would be visual interest, right? Maybe first you will get that new pool installed, and next year you'll find the time for your landscape. Unlike a landscape, you can use a pool. What other benefits does a landscape have to offer anyway?

Electrical Outlets & Air-Flow
By Ted Joffs
I recently visited the home of a friend, and when we showed up he was cleaning up from what I thought was a "window-caulking" project. It turned out that he was not caulking windows, but that he had been experiencing severe drafts in the home since he bought it (9 months old) and had never been able to figure out where they were coming from. Then, while fixing a volume control, he began to realize that the drafts were coming in through the light switches, outlets, phone jacks, volume controls, and cable hookups. What has happened is not an uncommon experience; these drafts are typically caused one of three ways.

"Ridding a home of fleas can be a frustrating and costly endeavor. Unlike some pests encountered around the home, fleas cause discomfort and irritation to both pets and people. Fleas account for more than half of all dermatological conditions requiring veterinary assistance, and even a single flea bite to a hypersensitive animal or person may cause intense itching and irritation."
