"American Freedom" Float Ideas

I need any ideas please. This years theme for the Fourth of July Float is "American Freedom". We have a 20 foot float, so we have room to work with, just not a lot of money. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, we really want to make it fun for the boys.

Thank you
Den Mother

How about having your float depict New York City. One of the Moms could be the Statue of Liberty, draped in a sheet. The Cubs could construct the city background using cardboard boxes." Sept. 11, 2001. We will never forget" and could build her tourch.

Just a few suggestions for decorating your float.Use inexpensive red, white and blue plastic tablecloths to drape the sides.I have even seen plastic ones with stars.Let the float portray the freedoms we all take for granted: Religion- a church scene Speech: people holding picket signs--brainstorm for more ideas. Then have men dressed as soldiers and post a sign saying THANK YOU for helping us KEEP the Freedom we all hold dear.
