Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. round coriander (opt.)
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1 egg
- 2 cup flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups fresh apples, chopped
Glaze:
- 1 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp. maple flavoring
- 2-3 Tbsp. milk
Directions
Cream the butter and sugar together and add the salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander and egg; blend well. Stir in the flour and baking soda and add the milk. Stir in the sliced apples and drop, by small spoonfuls, onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees F for 10-12 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
For glaze: stir the butter, powdered sugar, maple flavoring and milk together. Dot each cookie with the glaze.
