Taco Seasoning (Replaces Packet)
Instead of paying to get a packet of taco seasoning, make your own. It will save you at least a dollar or so over the price of name brand. Here's the recipe:

Put all ingredients in small container with lid and shake until combined. Add to 1 pound of browned ground beef. Add 3/4 cup water and bring to a simmer. Let meat cook down until juice is mostly cooked up in meat. Serve with whatever recipe taco meat is called for.

Brown ground beef; drain and cool on paper towels. Mix cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise and taco seasining. Add ground beef and mix thoroughly. Spread on large plate or platter. Top with cheese, lettuce and tomato. Chill for at least 2 hours. Top with salsa if desired.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 13x9 inch pan with vegatable pan spray. In small bowl, whisk together condensed milk, egg, 1/4 tsp. salt, candy flavoring, green icing color and remaning 1/2 tsp. salt. Pour mixture over cooled crust. Bake 18-20 minutes or until mixture is set. Cool completely on wire rack. Melt candy melts according to package directions; stir in shortening and mix until smooth. Spread evenly over cooled cookie mixture. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Cut into bars. Makes 48 bars.

Carrot Cabbage Slaw I
Ingredients
Directions
Mix miracle whip, mayo, sugar, vinegar, spices together until well blended. Mix in milk until creamy. Mix with cabbage and carrot. Let refrigerate overnight for the best flavor.

Directions
In a large serving bowl, combine the cabbage, carrots, apples, raisins and walnuts. In a small bowl, combine the honey and lemon juice till smooth. Stir in sour cream, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Add to cabbage mixture. Serve chilled. Makes 12 servings.
