Bathroom Tile Planter

For an unusual looking planter, take 5 bathroom or floor tiles and glue together with epoxy (4 sides and 1 bottom).

Does the epoxy glue hold together enough to keep the tiles together and not fall apart? What about drain holes? Would a wooden box tiled on the outside be more durable?

We have leftover lestelli and tile from our bathroom shower that I just completed... it would make a beautiful planter.

Hello Valleyrimgirl,

Your idea is sound, you don't need to tile the bottom of the container. Also you may want to consider putting three or four little blocks of wood under your container so it'll drain better. Also I would line it with plastic and poke holes in the bottom (this way your container will last longer) at the same time you make holes in the container so they'll line up and drain better.

Have fun! Marie
