Home Depot has refurbished generators in stores for a very good price. After the past winter freeze in our area, several generators were returned for various reasons. I purchased a Generec 7000 gas generator this weekend, on line new is 999.00, for $600 with only 19 hours on it. Paperwork said loose exhaust. I purchased mine in Elizabethtown, KY, and they had several different types and different price ranges.

Donna,
I also live in Kentucky and with over 20 days without power in a 6th month period this past year. We felt blessed to have access to a generator! :-)
