When you know that you are going to be cleaning all day, start your day by making your dinner first. Find a great crockpot recipe and throw it together and let it cook while you clean. When you're done, the last thing you want to do is cook and you don't always have the money to go out for pizza.

Stacey, this has got to be the best tip I have seen all year at any site. Thank you for the reminder.

I've got a pot roast in the crockpot right now!!! Easy easy recipe yummy too
brown chuck roast for 2 minutes on each side
put 1 envelope of onion soup mix in crockpot
add 1 cup or so water or beef broth
add roast cook 8 hours on low
at 6 hours -lift roast out and add some veggies on bottom if you want (make sure they are covered in liquid or add more if necessary- put roast back in on top
when everything is done-remove meat and veggies
turn crockpot to high until liquid boils then add 2 tblsp. four and 2 tblsp. butter boil until thick for a delish gravy

I have been trying to use my crock pot more. I really like the convenience, plus the meals just taste really good cooked that way! Seems I have a little more get up and go first thing in the morning when I put the meal on than in the evening if I have to start from scratch. I always make my corned beef and cabbage in the crock pot. It comes out wonderful and everything is in one pot. All I have to do at dinner is set the table and throw out the rye bread!

One of my email buddies, uses her crockpot on days when she's going to be online alot. She say's it frees up her time to be online and all she's got to do later is toss a salad & fix a beverage to go along with the crockpot meal.
