Prudence, Pru, Pruddie, Sister Wister, Baby Girl, Prudder Rueders, we have all kinds of little love names for her. Pru is about 6 years old. She's a Maltese mix. Pru came to live with us after I had placed a post on craigslist for a wanted pet. We received her into our home that very same afternoon, that was approximately 2 1/2 years ago. She was very unsure and afraid when she first came to live with us, but after awhile she warmed up to us and her new big "brother."

She likes to bark, at people, other dogs, cats, squirrels, plastic bags blowing with the wind. You name and she barks at it. She likes to play, which she didn't do when she first moved in.

Whoever owned her before had her debarked. I think it's a cruel thing to do and I certainly never would have done it. We rescued her from a home that no longer wanted her. The lady that we got her from had been taking care of Prudence since the lady's mother couldn't have Prudence any longer. Anyway, we were told that she would need to be walked to go potty, that she wouldn't go to the door to let you know that she needed out, we were told that she didn't like men other dogs or kids. Well, at this point in time, none of those things are true. We love her immensely and couldn't think of living without her! She's our baby girl!
