Drying Your Pet

Bronze Tip Medal for All Time! 86 Tips

I have found that using a shammy (like you use for drying off your car after washing it) is fantastic for drying your pet after her bath. They hold a tremendous amount of water, are much easier to use and better that a bath towel.

Very good idea! As many shammy's as I have in the house and I never even thought about using them! Will sure give it a try next time my dogs get a bath.

I wish the groomers would think of this. Most of the ones around here put them on a short leash or in a cage and set a blower to blowing them dry. I think this is cruel because it scares the dog. The dog doesn't understand what's happening and this is very scary. Plus if the dryer air gets warm it can cause burns on the dog.

I took my dogs to the groomer once and this is what they did. They put the blower on them. I never took them back. And since then I have researched almost all of the groomers around this area and every one that I've seen does the same thing.
