Half Crust Apple Pie
For a quicker and easier apple pie, follow the recipe for mixing the apples with spices, flour and cinnamon, but only make 1/2 the crust recipe. Put the fruit in a pan or pie dish and cover with the top crust. You still get the flavor of homemade pie but without the calorie and fat laden bottom crust. This can be adapted for any recipe that calls for a top crust.
