Just because someone else no longer wanted the animal does NOT mean the animal is "bad"; more likely just a family that no longer has time or energy to care for the pet. Fees will vary, but the pet comes to you neutered, shots updated, healthy and sometimes even microchipped. Well worth the $100 we paid for our 6 year old, WELL TRAINED dog. We couldn't be happier. I have a full bread yorkie but it was gift from a breeder and he was a runt that stole our heart. Be very careful if buying a dog that has been bred so many have been over bred so be careful. Just enter your zipcode and they will show you the closest puppies to you. I live in Albany NY and there are a lot of dogs in shelters looking for good homes. Threw the years she has brought us lots of enjoyment,been very smart, also a good little watch dog. My girls are 20 & 21 now.....they have never got tired of her. They have alot of good dogs and puppies that need homes. If you don't like spending alot of money, you could have one that might have their shots and some are already fixed.
