Check out the little coupon books that are sold by local schools and organizations. For a small price you can get great discounts for local businesses. Many are buy one, get one free offers. My junior high school kids usually have a two week window to sell them. They also make great gifts for clients, etc.

here several schools sell plastic discount cards for $5 -- the high school marching band does & a Luthern school at least & if you buy a non sale item at Hardee's (for instance) - you get a free small drink ! (we usually always get ours no ice or "easy ice" -- we get more & the pop always comes out of the fountain cold enough)
& 15% off at others but - 5 free drinks later & the $5 card has paid for it's self, the school club or org benifits by your purchase & you have a whole yr of special savings & freebies ! !
