My name is Spunky and I am a 7 year old, half poodle and half pomeranian, redhead. I like to watch tv while lying draped around my mistress' neck. My mommy works very hard and long hours so I now live most of the time with my nana. My mommy visits regularly and I show her how much I love her with lots of doggy kisses. I love soft chewy treats and can sit and speak and dance to get them. My people are such push overs!

I do not have a yard, but I love to flower garden. With containers and areas with stones you can have a lot of plants. I actually have plants in the stones that are not growing in any soil!

This is Pluto. He is a rescue dog that we brought home from a kennel on Father's day this year. The kennel told us he is about 2 years old and a terrier mix. He had been abandoned at a school near the kennel and they had him about 4 months before we got him.
Pluto loves to chase balls and chew his toys. His favorite thing is to play with my 10 year old son, Nick. After playing all day Pluto wants to sit in your lap for some loving all night.

Jazz up yogurt, with maple syrup, then add some granola and fruit and drizzle on more syrup. Sometimes I like to sprinkle wheat germ granules on top sometimes.

Freeze some parsley in ice cubes. Use the parsley cubes instead of eye creams to diminish dark circles and puffiness. Parsley is packed with chlorophyll which helps fade darkness, while the ice cubes reduce the swelling.
This I have done for years an found this remedy (natural) to be the best, as I suffer from very dark circles. Expensive creams have not been as effective.
Nothing beats NATURAL and sure is cheaper! Try it and see the diference-it truly works well.

Instead of spending a lot of money on those expensive cleaners to clean your bathtub and sink try this tip:
A very inexpensive shower gel or shampoo will clean just as well and will also prevent soap scum from building up around the tub.
The best part is, you do not have those smelly fumes lurking about and gel an shampoo is something we have around the house.

Asking About Leftover Restaurant Meats
If you live in a community around some restaurants, you might want to check with them for any leftover meats or other foods they might have leftover that they might not want to reheat and sell the next day. I have relatives in the vicinity of a BBQ restaurant that sells various fresh meats in a variety of ways (ex. whole bbq chickens or by the piece, bbq ribs: by the 1/2 rack or whole rack, etc.)
The restaurant will call up residents in the area, who are interested in buying fresh cooked meats at discounted prices. You might like to put your name on some restaurants lists like my relatives are. Both parties are being helped out. The restaurant doesn't have any fresh cooked meats going to waste and made some money off the meat and the residents in that area, including my relatives are saving some money, some time, and enjoying fresh bbq'd foods.

When the family is going on a trip and going by airplane, luggage can be lost or detained. So, when packing have each family member pack some items of other family members so if it does happen you will all have a change of clothes.

A man had posted himself in front of an office building with a tray of shoelaces. One executive made it a daily habit to give the unfortunate a dime, but he never took the laces. One day the peddler, on receiving the dime, tapped his departing benefactor on the back: I don't like to complain, sir, but the laces are now a dollar."

The seventh grade class which my brother teaches was holding a magazine-subscription sale. The morning after the sale started one boy reported that he had already sold $100.00 worth. "How did you manage to sell so many so quickly?" my brother asked. "I sold them all to one family," the boy replied. "Their dog bit me!"

An easy way to free up drawer space and keep your sweaters nice shape is to buy a hanging organizer, I just bought a Martha Stewart one at Kmart for $9, it has 8 shelves which holds 2 sweaters each, the hanging organizer zips open in the front and really does not take up much closet space. I used one of the shelves for my umbrella and gloves as well.

A quick easy beauty tip. Paint Elmers Glue on your face, after it dries peel it off and it removes dead skin.

What is the best way to use compost?
I started composting my kitchen waste and yard clippings about a year ago, probably something I read here. It's basically just a pile that my husband rotates from time to time but it has made some very nice dirt at this point. What is the best way to make use of it now? I have quite a few house plants, a flower garden, a hedge and a small vegetable garden.

Can you tell me how to make a standard curtain rod into a 2" inch curtain rods. My new curtains call for a 2" inch rod. I would like to recycle my standard rods so I can use them instead of purchasing new rods.

I cut down my beautiful elephant ears and purple cannas yesterday, I know they have to dry before I store them but my question is what should I store them in? Some of the elephant ears bulbs were about 9 inches around at the bottom, so they are pretty big. Any suggestions? How do you store yours and can I store the Elephant Ear and cannas together?

Uses For Coffee Creamer Containers
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for empty coffee creamer containers. They are shaped very nicely and the plastic covering comes off for a nice white background.
Thanks,
