German Green Beans

These beans are a little tart and very tasty!

Ingredients:

  • 2 strips bacon
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 cup liquid from green beans
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can green beans

Directions:

Brown bacon until crisp. Cook minced onion in bacon fat until soft. Stir in flour. Add liquid from green beans, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Stir in green beans. Stir gently until heated through. Serve with the bacon sprinkled over top.
