Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball I

A sweet alternative to your average cheese ball for showers and parties.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz package cream cheese
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 3/4- 1 cup Powdered sugar

Directions

Mix and form into a ball. Serve with Graham crackers or tiny graham cracker or chocolate cookies.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball II

Ingredients

  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8oz.)
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened (no substitutes)
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
  • graham crackers

Directions

In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and vanilla until fluffy. Gradually add sugars; beat just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Place cream cheese mixture on a large piece of plastic wrap; shape into a ball. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Just before serving, roll cheese ball in pecans. Serve with graham crackers.

I've made this several times. You could also use cinnamon chips instead of the chocolate and I use regular size if I dont have the mini ones. You could also use the cinnamon or chocolate graham crackers. The graham cracker sticks work well with this.
