Our family just lost the best dog in the world. His name is Roc. He would not harm a fly. He was our big baby. It kills me when people try to give these dogs a bad name. He was two and half years old and passed away 8-9-2007. We miss him dearly.

Rate It: These beautiful ornaments would make a lovely addition to any holiday tree. You can make them to keep or give away. You have to make them in stages, over the course of a few days only because the paint is on the inside and needs time to dry completely. The actual time spent crafting and expense are minimal considering the results you will achieve with very little effort. Have fun!

Rate It: Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it "home" and can't digest it, so it kills them. It may take a week or so (especially if it rains) but it works and you don't have the worry about pets or small children being harmed! Post Feedback: http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf99308896.tip.html

Rate It: Vinegar Or Pepper For Rabbit Repellent Tips for keeping rabbits out of your garden. Soak a cotton ball in white distilled vinegar and place it in a 35 mm film container. Poke a hole in the top and place in your garden. Rabbits hate the smell. You will have to keep refreshing the cotton ball and if you have a large garden you might want to spread a few of these around. Post Feedback: http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf15575785.tip.html

Rate It: Add Extra Principal To Your Mortgage Payments Reduce the amount of interest you pay on your mortgage payments by simply adding additional principle dollars to the payments you make each month. You don't have to do this every month; you could do it once or twice a year if you receive bonuses or a tax refund. No tricks, no complicated formula. All you need to do is check your mortgage document to see if there is a pre-payment penalty clause (usually paragraph 17), and if not, you are allowed to make additional payments in any amounts at any time over the term of the mortgage. Most companies now ask if you want to be paperless and they send you an email of your bill. This also saves them cost of stamp and waste of paper. Rate It: Scrapbook for Student Assignment I've heard about the scrapbooking craze but have not been involved. My 13 year old son has been given a school assignment to create a scrapbook about himself. His instructions were to take each letter of the alphabet and give 2 words beginning with that letter to describe himself. He said the teacher suggested they use buttons "and stuff" to put on it. The project is due in about a week, so I assume it's not expected to be too grand. We've already come up with his words, and I thought about writing them in calligraphy form on the pages. Any quick or easy suggestions out there for what to use for the book/pages, decorating, etc.? Any ideas are welcomed! Post Feedback: http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf33149852.tip.html
