Using Old Eyeglass Cases to Hold Your Cell Phone

I like to put a velcro tab on those silky material eyeglass holders to make a phone case out of it for use in my purse. I bought a nine dollar Virgin Mobile phone at Walmart because it was a pretty color. I often see animals on the road or if I see a wreck and need to call 911.

The phone will dial this emergency code even if there are no minutes on it. It is the law, so the phone is good for emergencies, and for me telling myself how to get somewhere on the voice memo, I can just play it back while I am driving. Also it has a memo pad that I can write directions down on. Also I can tell myself where I park at the mall with it, but I digress. I use this soft eyeglasses case for holding the phone. Even if I had used it for eyeglass storage like on my desk or something, I still would have sewn on a square of velcro because I don't like my glasses falling out.

This makes any kind of holder really. You can keep money in it, and no one would suspect it because it looks like it is an eyeglass holder.

Velcro is great!

Tip: Using Old Eyeglass Cases to Hold Your Cell Phone

If you have an old eyeglass case (the type that men use with a clip on one side with the top of it open for the eyeglasses to slip in) you can use it to slip on your belt and hold your cell phone in when you are out shopping or walking. This is a lot cheaper than buying a new cell phone carrier! Plus you can decorate yours to suit your personality! Use paint, ribbons buttons, pins etc.
