Organizing Tupperware and Plastic Containers

I keep the lids with the containers. This is just one shelf, the others are similar. Although it's not Tupperware, this system should work with any group of containers.

I use to do this the way you suggest but got fed up with the cluttered mess and space they took up. Instead I found Rubbermaid's wonderful containers with matching lids. You snap all the lids for a particular size together and then snap one of the matching containers onto the lids. After that just put the remaining matching containers into the first one.

How neat is that! no more balancing lids and containers which take up a lot of shelf space. An best of all - once filled with food you can snap the containers one on one in the refrigerator or freezer. Saving precious space again.

I agree with the Rubbermaid system. If you had lots of cabinet space, keeping the tops on the bottoms of Tupperware would be O.K.

I use a deep drawer in my kitchen and have an open storage container for lids, which are all kept together by manufacturer. I have space around the lids for all the miscellaneous containers which are stacked inside one another. Works great for me!
