Tuna Sandwich Ideas

Here are some tuna sandwich recipes.

Tuna With Cream Cheese

  • 1 6.5 oz can tuna (184 g)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened (125 g)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (50 ml)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions (125 ml)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (5 ml)
  • 1/8 tsp salt (..5 ml)
  • 1/8 tsp pepper (.5 ml)

Tuna with Relish

  • 1 6.5 oz can Tuna (184 g)
  • 1/4 cup relish (50 ml)

Tuna with Cheddar

  • 1 6.5 oz can Tuna (184 g)
  • 1 cup Grated cheddar cheese (250 ml)
  • 2 tbsp Finely chopped onion (optional) (2 tbsp)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt (2 ml)
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise (50 ml)

Tuna with Sweet Pickles

  • 1 6.5 oz can Tuna (184 g)
  • 1/4 cup Sweet pickles (diced) (50 ml)
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise (50 ml)

Tuna with Veggies

  • 1 6.5 oz can Tuna (184 g)
  • 1/4 cup each Diced carrots, onions & celery (50 ml)
  • 1/3 cup Mayonnaise (75 ml)
  • 1/8 tsp Salt (..5 ml)
  • Dash Pepper (optional)

Tuna with Horseradish

  • 1 6.5 oz can Tuna (184 g)
  • 1.4 cup Mayonnaise (50 ml)
  • 2 tsp Prepared Horseradish (10 ml)
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice (5 ml)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt (2 ml)
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper (.5 ml)

Instructions

Flake tuna & add other ingredients. Mix well & make sandwiches.

Slow Cooker Hamburger Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Lean ground beef
  • 1 Large onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 cups frozen whole kernel corn
  • 3 large carrots, chopped
  • 3 large red or yellow potatoes, cut into 1/4 inch cubes
  • 1 cup frozen peas, if desired
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup, without adding any liquids
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

Brown together in large skillet without added oil. Drain off fat by placing on paper towel lined paper toweling. Pat off excess fat and set aside.

Place all ingredients in large slow cooker, stir; add salt and pepper. Cook on low for 5 hours. Do not stir during cooking time. Serve with hot yeast rolls. Makes 5-6 dinner servings

Favorite Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour (sifted)
  • 3/4 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • Granulated sugar

Directions

Sift together in a bowl the flour, soda, cream of tartar, salt and powdered sugar. Cut in butter with pastry blender. Beat vanilla and egg together; add. Dough will be fairly soft. Form into balls and dip into granulated sugar. Place on cookie sheets 2 inches apart and flatten with bottom of glass which has been moistened and dipped into granulated sugar. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 10 minutes.

Pumpkin Cheesecake

Cake Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin (canned)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. baking powder

Filling Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 Tbsp. corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Filling Directions

In mixing bowl, beat ingredients together until smooth. Set aside. Prepare cake batter.

Cake Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In large mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy add eggs, beat well.

Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

Mix in pumpkin and sour cream. Blend thoroughly until smooth. Pour half of batter into a buttered 9x13 inch glass baking dish.

Add the filling mix. Spreading batter evenly in the dish. Add remaining batter and lightly swirl into filling. Bake for 50 -55 minutes Allow to cool, cut and serve.

Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs (beaten lightly)
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 4 cups flour (sifted)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

Mix all together and chill dough. Make into balls. Roll in sugar, press with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes.

Mrs. Mau's Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 5 cups flour (may need as much as 6)
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

Make into small balls. Flatten with glass. Apply granulated or colored sugar with bottom of glass at the same time. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet.
