Dealing with Cold Sores

To stop cold sores from coming, dab some tincture of Myrrh on the area often. It will stop the cold sore from forming. The earlier you can catch it is best, like when you feel the tingling feeling.

There is a product on the market called Tanac that works wonders too. It is in liquid form with a "stick" applicator like you get with iodine. You just put a drop or two on your canker or cold sore 2 or 3 times a day. It's gone in no time. It also works inside the mouth. I swear by it.

Unfortunately, those things never worked for me. I have to get a RX from my dentist for Zovirax. Dab it on at first signs of tingling and several times a day thereafter.

The cold sores either don't materialize, or if they do they are MUCH smaller than they would be without.

This is really going to sound weird, but it works. Chap-Stick the plain kind not the flavored. Use it every day. It will be gone in a day or so.
