Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 2 green bell peppers, chopped
- 2/3 cup sweet pickle relish
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 2 cups chili sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- few dashes hot pepper sauce or ground cayenne pepper (to your taste)
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Makes 3 cups of hot dog sauce, enough to serve with 3 pounds of hot dogs.
