Chili Sauce for Hot Dogs

1. 1 cup chopped onions
2. 2 green bell peppers, chopped
3. 2/3 cup sweet pickle relish
4. 1/2 cup cider vinegar
5. 2 cups chili sauce
6. 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
7. 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
8. few dashes hot pepper sauce or ground cayenne pepper (to your taste)

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Makes 3 cups of hot dog sauce, enough to serve with 3 pounds of hot dogs.
