Using Powder Chai Latte Mix in Froth Machine?

I recently bought myself a Capresso froth machine to make my chai latte, but I was wondering how can I mix the powder mixture in the milk so stays foamy? At some point it gets foamy, but once the machine turns off it goes down :-( Could it be because one of the ingredients is nondairy powdered milk? Do I boil water on the side and the pour the mix so it becomes like concentrate then add it to my milk before I froth it?

I used these ingredients:

  • 1 cup nonfat dry milk powder
  • 1 cup powdered non-dairy creamer
  • 1 cup French vanilla flavored powdered non-dairy creamer
  • 2 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened instant tea
  • 2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tsp. ground cardamom

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Working with about half the mixture at a time, process in a food processor until fine and smooth. Store in a cool, dry place, in an airtight container.

To use, stir two heaping tablespoons into 6-8 ounces of hot water.

Thanks for your help.
