Is it ok to store canned goods on a back porch that is not heated? Or would they freeze?

Put a thermometer out on your porch on a cold day to see if the temp goes below freezing or not. No thermometer? Put out a bucket of water and check it every few hours at night and early in the morning to see if it's frozen.

Do not store canned goods/soda pop where they may freeze. The cans expand and the food is ruined.
