With fall fast approaching and football season right around the corner, its crockpot time! This is an awesome recipe for fall...the apple, spices and beer send off an intoxicating aroma perfect for those crisp, clean, and sunny fall Sundays. Just combine ingredients below before the 12 o'clock kickoff and by the end of the afternoon game you'll have a great meal. No worries and no mess! And it leaves you free to watch football and sample a little beer for yourself. ;)

Ingredients

Dry:

  • 1 medium or large pork tenderloin
  • Salt (1 tsp.)
  • Black Pepper (1/2 tsp.)
  • Italian Seasoning (Basil, Oregano, Parsley, all dried) (1/2 tsp.)
  • Garlic (2-3 Cloves)
  • Cloves (6-8)
  • Cinnamon (Pinch)
  • Nutmeg (Pinch)

Wet:

  • A Sweet White Wine (1/4 cup...No "Arbor Mist" or other "wine product")
  • Apple Cider (1 cup)
  • Light Beer (1/2 cup)

Directions

1. Combine wet ingredients in crockpot. Slice garlic and add to crockpot.

2. Sprinkle salt, pepper, italian seasoning, cinnamon and nutmeg onto pork tenderloin.

3. Stick tenderloin with cloves, evenly dispersing them over the meat.

4. Place pork into crockpot. Cover and let cook 4-6 hours or until done. Remove cloves before serving.

*F.Y.I.: The juices make a nice gravy, or spread applesauce over the cooked slices when serving. Delicious!
