I'm looking for a recipe for homemade granola bars. Preferably one without too much sugar. Any ideas?

google Birdseed Bars, I think it's under All Recipes. It doesn't SOUND like a granola bar, but you can cut them granola bar shapes. You don't bake. Only 1/2 cup brown sugar (I use half real and half Splenda Brown sugar) and honey. They are chocolately and awesome!

I toast flax seeds and sesame seeds (before using, brings out better flavor and flax seeds are actually chewable), and tweak the ingredients. Original recipes doesn't have flax seeds, I just took out some of the sunflower seeds. I also used some Puffed brown rice in place of the rice krispy. My daughter LOVEs these! If you find the recipe, add the cocoa powder to the liquid, not to the dry ingredients, cook liquids slowlllllly. You can place in a 9x13 or larger pan, press hard and cut when cool (if you can wait that long!).
