I have some questions regarding perfumes and colognes: What is the difference between parfum and eau de parfum? Are they both perfumes?
What is the difference between cologne and toilet water?
Finally, are knock-offs (or generic forms) just as good as brand names in the same way as pharmaceuticals are? Thanks so much. Anjeena

Good tip re: eau de toilette/ cologne.
Spray it (infront of yourself) then walk into it. (I do a silly walk every morning to make my husband laugh!)
That way the fragrance permeanates all of your body, and will realease with heat.
Perfume is more concentrated.

The more concentrated the fragrance is, the higher the price.
Any fragrance that is pleasing to you, whether it is a high price or low priced, "no brand name", is a good choice, in my opinion. I tend to go the frugal route.
TIP: Also, I have found that I had a few of the vile samples ... with an old perfume small bottle & tiny funnel I mixes all fragrances together and they were fine! Price was right! FREE.

Found thins on a web site recently -- can't remember exactly, but thought it might be useful.
Can you rank fragrance according to strength? A. The rank goes (strongest to weakest) as follows in women's: Perfume, Eau de perfume, Eau de Toilette and cologne. In men's: Eau de Toilette and cologne are the same, then comes after shave, which is the weakest.
