Decorate Your Pumpkin With a Mask
This year at the end of the season, buy up the Halloween masks when they are in the clearance piles. I purchased masks for pennies each and saved them until the next year. I place them on appropriately sized pumpkins and used them to decorate my front yard. I live across the street from an elementary school and they got lots of views!

I love the idea and I love that you had the patience to purchase them last year, when on clearance for penny's on the dollar, and waited to use them this year and, I am sure, the next and the next :-)

I hope you make homemade Thanksgiving Day pumpkin pies ;-)

PS - Grama Bess, just because the pumpkins are carved doesn't mean the seeds aren't roasted and pumpkin pies not made from them! We always used the entire pumpkin innards after carving for roasted seeds and to feed critters the mash and only carved the pumpkin a couple days before Halloween so could still use for pie and other recipes!

I would love to decorate some for the porch but they are so expensive anymore. $5.99 each. How can a person buy several for decoration then have them just rot? What a waste of money. I feel sorry for adults with little one's that want to carve a pumpkin and have several kids. At least the way this lady decorates they can still be cooked later. Happy October everyone.
