Obviously, going to a matinee will save money, but those rarely work with our schedule. We happen to have an AAA membership. They sell discount movie tickets for nearly every theater in our area. They are anywhere from $1.50 to 3.50 off per ticket, depending on the type of ticket (some can't be used the first 14 days of a new movie) and theater you choose. The tickets do not expire and I regularly buy them for friends as well.

It is so easy to forget these extra discounts that we have. I was in the market for a bed and just happened to open an email right away from AAA (usually they pile up before I read them) and it said that Sleepy's is a new partner with AAA. Long story short I saved $475 on my entire bed purchase! The deal is that you get 20% off your entire Sleepy's in-store purchase. I am also getting one pillow and a mini camcorder free. I was very happy, to say the least. Glad I saw it before buying.
