Honey Bun is approximately 4 months old. She is maybe a Great Dane mix. She was left behind by a family that moved, I saw the neighborhood kids with her and asked them where she came from. Their parents wouldn't let them keep her, so I said I would find her a home. Unfortunately, she became sick the next day and I took her to the vet. She had Parvo. I brought her home and nursed her for 4 days, then I put her in the hospital for three days. She has been home for 2 weeks and she seems fine. I got her July 1, 2009. I was going to find her a home but I think she's already there. She loves to play tag with my two older dogs. She is just learning to fetch a ball. My Shepherd mix is teaching her. I am just so blessed to have her. She is the sweetest little dog. By Ceherrera60 from Long Beach, Ca Contest Contender!

Trixie (German Shepherd/Husky) Trixie is 2 years old, but in the photo she about 3 1/2 months. She is a German Shepard/Husky mix. We got her at the pound :( I can't believe someone would want to get rid of this dog. For fun, she likes to run, run, jump and play! She used to be able to get out of her pen when she was younger. We would have to fix it again and again and again until she got too big to fit through all the places she got out from. She is WAY smart... By Erka from Blackfoot, ID Contest Contender!

These contests are weekly. We pick 2 tip winners and 1 photo winner at the end of each week. Each winner will win $25!
Get 4 buckets or large containers and fill them up with your choice of pudding. In with the pudding of 2 containers, place 3 or 4 clothing items that are similar in each container. (ie., long sleeve button up shirt, XL pair of sweat pants, a dress, or old suit coat or oversized shoes.) Keep in mind the general size of the children who will be playing the game. Try not to use clothes that are too big and don't put a boy in a tutu; save that for the girls messy slumber party. :) Place the containers with pudding and clothes on the one side of the play area (which I suggest should be outside) and the ones without clothes on the other side. Divide the children into 2 equal teams and have them line up behind the containers without clothes in them. The goal of the game is to run to the other container with the pudding clothes and get dressed as fast you they can, then they have to run back to the other container take off the pudding clothes and place them in the container, high 5 their team mate and run to the back of the line. When the child gets the high five they can then start getting dressed and run to the other container and take off the clothes and put them in, run back to the line and high 5 their team. The team that has each member dress and undress with the pudding clothes first is the winner. Have fun with it and use unordinary items (a clown nose, gloves, longjohn pjs with feet in them, bib). I plan on using 2 old wigs! By Mrs.Z from Glendale, AZ Contest Contender!

Put Alarm Sticker in Your Window If you don't have a house alarm, you can always put an alarm system sticker in your window anyways! It may help deter burglars. Also, a car alarm can be used, if you can sleep with your car alarm remote with you. If you hear someone trespassing, hit the the panic button! If your car is close enough it will sound and hopefully scare the burglar away. By Selina from Hollywood, CA Contest Contender!

Ever had a "Shake Flashlight" (Faraday Flashlight) go dead on you? They work on moving magnetic fields - so put the flashlight near to a transformer that is plugged in - right next to it! Maybe near a fan motor case while it is running. The magnetic field emanating from a transformer or motor coil will charge the flashlight up very quickly, so don't leave it there for more than 10 minutes or so. Mine was dead and came back in 5 minutes sitting on top of an old electric train transformer (plugged in). By Doctor Bill from Eastern Washington State Contest Contender!

When my cat had surgery, he wouldn't wear his plastic cone thing (to prevent licking his wound). So I made him a washable incision cover from the sleeve of an old cotton sweater. This will also make an easy pet sweater. Just cut the sleeve off of an old washable sweater, and you will have a tube. For easy removal cut the tube up the center then add Velcro. It was easier to put this little tube over my cat's middle after surgery, than having him hurt himself because he kept ramming himself into things to try to remove his cone. WD-40 and Razor Blade to Clean Shower Doors Well water, soap, and age had left a permanent fog on the shower doors. There was also a cruddy hard substance at the bottoms of each door. Nothing would remove this cement-like crud. Nothing would remove the fog. As a last ditch effort before purchasing new doors I tried something I've not found anyone mention. First I removed the doors to the yard and leaned them up against a wall. I sprayed them with WD40 and let em sit. An hour later I rinsed. There was a gooey fatty substance on the glass now. But the cement crud was releasing it's hold. With help of a razor blade I got it off. Now I needed to deal with the goo on the glass. You must have gloves for this step. I laid down the door on the tailgate of my truck. I took liquid Cascade dishwasher detergent and a 000 piece of steel wool (non-soap kind). I added generous amounts of Cascade to the glass and scrubbed. The soap will turn yucky the more you scrub. I added a little water as needed. I let it sit for about 3 minutes then I rinsed and turned over the doors repeating the process. As they dried I could now see what I had missed so I repeated the process and armed with the razor blade was able to get the remaining stuck on crud on the edges off. They look beautiful. I saved myself the cost of new doors. It probably cost me five dollars all together in product and took a couple hours of work. It was well worth the effort. Personalizing Ornament Christmas Cards Personalized Family Christmas Cards can be made at home. Find a card, old or new, which has large ornaments on the front - at least as many ornaments as members of the family. Get snapshots of each member of the family which can be cut to fit the different ornaments, circles or ovals. Paste the photos on the ornaments. If you are using an old card which has a signature on the inside, that will have to be covered. If you want to write your own message for the inside of the card, write your message and glue it over the existing message and signature. If each card is to have a separate hand-written message, cover the existing message an signature with a plain piece of paper. Next, take this to Office Max, Kinko's, or somewhere where you can get copies made. Unfold the card completely, and have it copied (as many copies as you desire) on either 18 or 20 pound paper, not card stock. The copies should be such that you can have a card by making the two folds as was in the original card. (Card will be 4 1/4 x 5 1/2) There would be one fold if you used the large 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 card. If you use this size card the paper can be a little heavier. You will need to buy envelopes of the proper size. You have your cards individualized with photos (and message, if desired). All you have to do is fold the cards in the same way the original card was folded. Source: I'm always finding ways to individualize things, or adding to or deleting portions of patterns. I did this at home when I was a child. By Clynnaltemus from Inglis, FL Contest Contender!

The earlier you add fresh chiles to a recipe that you're cooking, the hotter the bite will be. If you like a more mild bite then add them to your recipe at the last possible moment. Most of a chile's heat is in the seeds and in the white membranes so you can control the amount of heat of any dish by removing them or adding them. Also, the larger the size of any particular variety of a chile is less hot than their smaller counterparts. By Deeli from Richland, WA Contest Contender!

Rate It: I purchased a Schick Quattro razor for women and it is the worst razor I have ever used. I have to go over my legs 3 or 4 times to get a half way decent shave and even then I can still feel stubble. I used to use the Gillette Personal Touch razor and I loved it, but they have stopped making the blades for it. Can anyone recommend a good razor for shaving your legs? I prefer to not use disposable razors? Or can you tell me where I might be able to find the blades for the Personal Touch razor? Thank you.
