Children's Necklaces for Cheap

For a wonderful, cheap project that children will love all you need is some string (any kind will do, I used twine because it was all I had on hand) and straws.

Cut the straws into 1/2 inch pieces and have them string them into a necklace. We used the colored straws but you can use any kind and even paint the straw first or use glitter.

My five children wore these necklaces all summer and gave them to grandma for gifts. They were very proud!
