Tasty use for those marrows (a squash similar to zucchini) that grow to gigantic proportions hidden in the garden!
Ingredients
- Marrow - peeled and chopped into chunks.
- 1 14 oz can chopped tomatoes.
- 1 can corn or 2 cups frozen
- garlic clove - chopped
- 1 package onion soup mix
- whatever else takes your fancy
Directions
Slow cooker on high for 1 hour then low for 3 hours.
I freeze this and then use it as a base for a casserole.
For example: Add browned ground beef and pre-cooked pasta or cooked cut up chicken breast and pre-cooked rice.
