Spaghetti Salad

Yummy, very popular salad.

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz. thin spaghetti
  • 1 bunch green onions, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup sweet pickle juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, mashed
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 Tbsp. poppy seed
  • 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
  • 1 cup Italian salad dressing
  • tomato and avocado wedges

Directions:

Cook spaghetti using package directions; drain. Mix with remaining ingredients in bowl. Chill overnight. Garnish with tomato and avocado wedges.

Super Simple Spaghetti Salad

Great salad instead of the usual summer salads.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box spaghetti
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped cucumber
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 1 bottle Italian dressing
Optional:
  • chopped broccoli (about 1/2 cup or whatever amount you may have)
  • chopped cauliflower (about 1/2 cup or whatever)
  • chopped carrots (1/2 cup or whatever)

Directions:

Cook spaghetti according to directions on package. Add the veggies that you want, after you have chopped them up. Add about 1/2 bottle of Italian dressing. Toss and chill.

Before serving, add more of the Italian dressing, according to taste. I usually use about 3/4 bottle altogether. All my family like this and its so simple to make. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 7 oz spaghetti, broken, boiled and drained
  • 1 8 oz bottle Zesty Italian dressing
  • 1 cucumber chopped
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 tomatoes chopped

Directions

Toss well and refrigerate. You can sprinkle grated cheese on top when ready to serve. Salt and pepper to taste.

This is easy and really tasty. You can make as a last minute dish but it is better if it sits in the fridge a little while.

Add a generous sprinkling of McCormick's salad seasoning to the above salad for a great taste. (07/16/2008)


Ingredients

  • 1 med. onion
  • 3 stalks celery (chopped)
  • 1 (7 oz.) pkg. spaghetti
  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 6 Tbsp. margarine
  • small yellow jar of mustard

Directions

Chop, onion, celery and shred cabbage. Cook spaghetti according to box directions and cool. Mix eggs, sugar, vinegar and margarine. Cook until thickened. Add mustard; cool. Pour over cooled spaghetti. Add vegetables; mix well. Make the day before you serve. Makes a great picnic salad - serves many.
