Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 oz. (2 squares) unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Directions
Sift together flour, sugar, and salt; add shortening and eggs. Mix until fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add vanilla and melted chocolate; beat thoroughly and stir in nuts. Spread in lightly greased 11x7 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately cover with 24 marshmallows, cut in quarters. Cool in pan, then melt 1 (6oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips. Pour over marshmallows. Cool and cut in bars or squares. Store in airtight container.
