Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. butter or margarine, softened

Directions

Combine first 5 ingredients in a mixing bowl. Combine eggs and next 3 ingredients; add to dry ingredients. Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer 3 minutes. Grease bottom of loaf pan. Spoon half of batter into pan. Combine 2 Tbsp. sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon, and butter in a small bowl until crumbly. Spoon evenly over batter and top with remaining batter. Gently swirl batter with a knife to create a marbled effect.

Bake at (preheated) 350 degrees F for 50 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan immediately and cool completely on a wire rack. Yield 1 loaf.

Thank you for sharing this. My family loves cinnamon bread and it can get quite costly getting it from the bakery, so we get it occasionally for a treat when we have the money. Now I dont have to pay someone else to make it. This is so easy and uses ingredients I keep on hand, so I will definately be making this.
