The dreary scenes of winter are quietly whispering that spring is just around the corner. With the blooming of colorful springtime flowers and comes many creative ideas for decorating an Easter Day wedding. From whimsical chocolate bunnies to candy-coated egg-shaped confections, decorate a delightful Easter wedding celebration using an array of festive colors throughout the wedding table decorations, as well as other wedding elements.

Apply Traditional Springtime Colors In Multiple Ways

Springtime hues in beautiful pastels evoke all the charm and romance that echo the coming of summer. When searching for traditional pastel colors, colors such as yellow, pink, blue, and green are popular ideas. However, it is also not uncommon to use less popular, but equally interesting colors of orange and lilac because many of these elegant colors can be applied in a multitude of ways. For instance, using bright yellow and pink tulips presented in elegant square-shaped vases make eye-catching centerpiece arrangements, but when interspersed with an array of colorful miniature candy baskets filled with soft pastel blue or pink candies, combining these elements adds an additional dimension of color to the table décor. As such, incorporating an element such as colorful pastel candy provides extra ways of playing with color. Moreover, there is no shortage of Easter candy ranging from delicious candy coated chocolate eggs to scrumptious jellybeans.

Bold Colors Create Drama and Make Stylish Wedding Décor

While pastel colors are certainly traditional choices for an Easter or spring wedding, a dash of bold colors can infuse drama to the wedding décor. This approach can be applied to virtually any wedding item ranging from the tabletop accents (e.g., table placecard holders and napkins) to the ribbon on a brides wedding bouquet. As an example, when working a with a two-color palette, such as pastel pink and light silver, a splash of fuchsia or hot pink not only adds vigor to the decorations, but also serves to reflect the personal taste of a bride - daring to be a little different. The use of a bold color on a subtle accent, therefore, serves to balance the use of color in an artistic and chic fashion.

Using colors to highlight the meaning of an Easter wedding celebration is filled with many exciting color options from applying soft pastel colors to bold colors in the same hues. The key is to employ subtlety in an elegant and unique manner where colors are used to create drama and thus reflect the distinctive tastes and preferences of the bride and groom. For this reason, when working with various wedding professionals (e.g., florists, table designers, stationers) be sure to inquire about ways of using unique and interesting colors.
