Red and Cream Sweater Bled onto Itself

I have a cream and red snowflake cotton/ramie sweater. Upon its first washing the red dye bled into the cream. Any suggestions for saving it?

Try some color safe bleach...also, next time use white vinegar in the wash to prevent colors from bleeding.
