Chicken Curry


  • 2 1/2-3 lb. chicken, cut into serving pieces
  • 1/4 lb. onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp. ginger or ginger root, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. chopped garlic
  • Ad
  • 5 cardamom seeds
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/4 lb. butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 carton plain yogurt, opt.
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar, opt.


Mix all ingredients together. Cook together in covered pot over low heat for 30 minutes or until chicken is tender. If additional liquid is desired, add a little water or yogurt.
