The leaves don't, but the flowers do.

I had a hibiscus in my porch and the flowers only lasted a day as, apparently, is usual. However, it was getting too big and I repotted it and put it outside and the flowers have been lasting several days, much to my surprise!

I always wondered what was wrong with my hardy hibiscus. One day someone told me the bloom only lasts one day. Now I enjoy them without freaking!

Our hibiscus flowers usually don't bloom for over a day. They close up within a day and new flowers come out.
