Refresh Old Holiday Decorations

Gold Post Medal for All Time! 519 Posts

It's wonderful to use seasonal decorations every year, but the years can take their toll. Remember that it's easy to re-furbish your decorations, just use colored nail polish and assorted colored permanent markers. I fixed a chipped gold leaf on an Xmas wreath with gold nailpolish from the dollar store - and used red marker to fix up some chips in another decoration.

And I have glued together some old wooden ornaments. Also remember that the patina on older ornaments can be charming, so don't toss those old glass bulbs. They can be refreshing when everything today is plastic! Even without a "hanger" to fix to the ornament hangers, they can be gathered in a glass bowl for a simple holiday touch.
