Uses for End Rolls of Newsprint

You can get end rolls of plain newspaper from most newspapers. It's width is the longest length of your paper, and it's plain with no print. I use it for the following;

Copying sewing patterns.

Grandchildren love to draw roads and towns on a long roll, or trace each others body on it.

Tear off a long sheet and double it to put fresh backed cookies on.

Cover the windows while you clean your drapes.

Cut it into printer size paper for printing out coloring pages for kids from a kids site.

It goes on and on and I'm still finding things to do with it. It's so cheap, you'll want two, but you could probably never use it all.

These rolls of paper are wonderful for packing dishes, pictures or anything you need to protect when you are moving. It worked wonderful when we moved last time.

I will be a volunteer teacher for a drawing class at my daughter's middle school next year. We will be using the rolls for tearing off pages to draw on. All we will need will be sheets of masonite (don't know what size to cut them yet but approx. 30"x 34") and masking tape to adhere the sheets to the masonite. Voila! All else needed to be bought are the drawing pencils and erasers. PS. If you want to try this it's a good idea to cut out a handle to make carrying the masonite drawing boards easier.
